"Supporting families by serving seniors and dependent adults."
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of More to Life, LLC Adult Day Health Center, is to provide a safe
and friendly group care program for dependant adults during the day. Under the
direction of a qualified program director and nurses the center will provide
a comfortable and encouraging environment with a wide variety of activities
to enrich the lives of each participant. The program is designed to maintain
the participants' highest level of independence and well-being, and to meet
the needs of frail or impaired adults over 18 years old, including those with
MS, diabetes, traumatic brain injuries, Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
The Program will provide an economical alternative that enables families to
remain together longer while extending the independence of seniors by offering
"more to life".
RELAX AND HAVE CONFIDENCE
Caregivers can be confident that their loved ones are receiving the best of
care from a well-qualified staff. We work hand in hand with you and your family
member. Our experienced team of medical and social specialists will tailor a
program to meet the individual's physical, social and emotional needs.
More to Life ADHC benefits all family members by giving your loved one a chance
to enjoy a friendly environment, foster peer relationships and experience a
sense of independence. Caregivers have an opportunity to feel refreshed and
attend to other household and work obligations. More to LIfe ADHC can delay
and often eliminate the need for more expensive care provided in an assisted
living, nursing home or in-home care. More to Life ADHC is a cost-effective
solution, you may even qualify for financial assistance based on your individual
circumstances.
HEALTH & THERAPY
Our staff includes an RN and an LPN, ensuring proper medication administration,
health monitoring, encouragment and promoting health and wellness. Various therapy
programs and health services are offered.
ENJOYABLE ACTIVITIES
More to Life ADHC will provide participants with social activities, games, puzzles,
crafts, music, entertainment and participation, exercise programs, computer
skills, genealogy or journaling, art instruction, discussion groups, holiday
and birthday celebrations, youth association, local outings and more. We also
have a safe, secure yard allowing fresh air, recreation, gardening and sunshine
to facilitate feelings of well-being.

We, Jeff and Amy, have enjoyed working with elderly in various volunteer positions
for most of our lives. When Amy's mother suffered a stroke in 2007 we became
painfully aware of the difficulties that so many families face as we were thrust
into the world of long-term care options. While we struggled with the emotional
adjustments, Amy's family also faced overwhelming decisions that would impact
the physical and emotional well-being of their mother along with her future
interaction with peers and family members. They also faced financial considerations,
not knowing what the future held and evaluating the financial status to determine
if aid was available. This is when we learned about the benefits of Adult Day
Health Care. It was not an option for us at the time but the concept was wonderful,
and we found ourselves wanting to support this concept to help other families.
In April 2009 we began the long process of opening the first Adult Day Center
in Sparks. We have since found a perfect location, at 1963 East Prater Way,
between Vista and Sparks Blvd, only a short distance off Highway 80, in a beautiful
business complex. The neighboring buildings include a doctor's office, a dental
office, a child day care and three senior living centers. The construction and
license process is well under way with a target grand opening date in June.
